We offer courses ranging from remedial instruction in reading and math, to hands-on machine training, to distance learning via computers.
Course Offerings
Integrated Math covers a review of basics from multiplication and division through reading instrumentation and SPC (statistical process control).
Applied Design and Technology covers basic blueprint reading and interpretation.
Basic Machine Operation covers the basics of operating, maintaining and feeding ASM’s or Browne and Sharpe machines.
Lean Manufacturing describes the basic principles of lean manufacturing and compares them to traditional manufacturing approaches.
SPC covers the main concepts of statistical process control and explains how to recognize processes that are affected by special causes.
CNC Machining covers safe use of equipment, set up and operate two axis CNC lathe and three axis machining center, programming and run off of parts.
Tooling U is online and provides a training alternative that is engaging and complements on the job training. Tooling U can be customized to meet industry standards and is designed for all learning styles and skill sets.
Swiss CNC describes and provides training with the basic components of Swiss-type lathe as well as common tooling and machining operations.
Apprenticeship Courses are State of Connecticut approved for all related instruction in the Metal Trades Program.
